New Delhi [India], July 1: <\/strong>Renowned Ram Charit Manas orator Morari Bapu commenced a nine-day Katha in Little Rock, the capital of Arkansas, USA, on Saturday, June 28, 2025.<\/p>\n

He has titled the discourse \u201cManas Margi.\u201d Bapu shared that a few Vaishnav sadhus had requested him to speak on this subject, including during a recent visit to his village Talgajarda in Gujarat. Inspired by these conversations, he decided to select this as the theme for the current Katha.<\/p>\n

He has chosen two lines as the central focus of the discourse, both from the Uttar Kand of Goswami Tulsidas\u2019 Ram Charit Manas\u2014specifically, Chaupais 129 and 61 from the seventh and final canto:<\/p>\n

\u201cAti Hari kripa jahi par hoi, pau de ehi marag soi<\/p>\n

Milehu Garuda maraga mahai mohi, kavana bhanti samujhvau tohi\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The nine-day discourse will revolve around the in-depth interpretation and significance of these two verses.<\/p>\n

Explaining further, Bapu said that within the Ramayana, there are many spiritual seekers\u2014margis\u2014each following a distinct path. These include sages like Vashishtha, Vishwamitra, divine figures such as Lord Shiva, Narada, Lord Ram, devotees like Shabari, Sugreev, Bhushundi, and even Ravana, each representing a different kind of margi.<\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that Morari Bapu himself is a margi sadhu belonging to Nagar Brahmin ancestry. He reflected that while there was a time when people did not recognize the value of a margi sadhu, times have now changed\u2014so much so that families have even begun naming their daughters Margi.<\/p>\n

Bapu also noted that the Manglacharan (invocatory verses) of the Ramayan holds a power comparable to the Savitri Mantra in Hindu tradition. He emphasized that the portion of the Manglacharan devoted to the praise of a true guru is especially potent and beneficial for recitation. While Goswami Tulsidas followed the tradition of Panch Devta Stuti established by Adi Shankaracharya\u2014which was intended to bridge Vaishnav and Shaiva traditions\u2014Bapu pointed out that when Tulsidas begins with Guru Vandana, the focus is solely on the Guru, to the exclusion of all else.<\/p>\n

Even within that context, Bapu said, it is the lotus feet of the Guru that act as the spiritual magnet.<\/p>\n

While Bapu has long preached Satya, Prem, and Karuna\u2014truth, love, and compassion\u2014as guiding principles, he shared for the first time that this trinity also represents his personal Savitri Mantra. While the Savitri Mantra is widely regarded as one of the most powerful in Hinduism, Bapu revealed a deeply personal association: his mother\u2019s name was also Savitri.<\/p>\n

The Katha will be held daily from 10:00 AM to approximately 1:00\u20131:30 PM, concluding on July 6, 2025. The event is taking place at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.<\/p>\n

Each day\u2019s discourse will be followed by a vegetarian meal, served as prasad to all attendees.<\/p>\n
