Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], October 23: <\/span><\/b>Dehradun<\/strong>\u00a0UPES has opened its Placements 2026 season with strong early outcomes, reflecting renewed recruiter confidence and the university\u2019s industry-integrated learning model. Since the start of the current placement season in September,505 students have been placed with 533 offers extended by 59 recruiting organisations\u00a0<\/strong>that made selections. Overall, 63 companies\u00a0<\/strong>have participated in this season\u2019s recruitment drive so far.<\/p>\n

Based on the offers received so far, the\u00a0highest CTC stands at \u20b952 lakh per annum<\/strong>, withthe top10% average at \u20b923.79 LPA<\/strong>.\u00a0Early placements reflect a healthy mix of technology, consulting, digital, manufacturing, legal and energy employers.\u00a0Salesforce, Oracle, EY, KPMG, Deloitte, Razorpay, Britannia, NielsenIQ and ExxonMobil<\/strong>\u00a0headline the list of marquee brands on campus, alongside volume hiring from leading technology and consulting firms.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the strong start,\u00a0Mr. Manish Madaan, Registrar, UPES<\/strong>, said,\u201cPlacements 2026 have begun on a steady, positive note, reflecting the strength of our industry\u2013academia linkages. At UPES, a transdisciplinary, industry-integrated curriculum, that\u2019s grounded in research, live projects and mentorship, prepares our students to add value from day one. I am grateful for the continued trust of our recruiting partners. Building on UPES\u2019s recent record of 100% placements over successive years, we expect this cycle to close near full placement across schools.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The start of the season has set a good momentum across schools at UPES, led by the\u00a0School of Computer Science<\/strong>, which has already recorded\u00a0380 placements<\/strong>\u00a0across IT services, fintech and product roles, with a\u00a0highest CTC of \u20b952 LPA<\/strong>\u00a0and a\u00a0top10% average of \u20b926.44 LPA<\/strong>. The\u00a0School of Business<\/strong>\u00a0has seen\u00a069 placements<\/strong>\u00a0so far, anchored by consulting, consumer, digital and analytics roles, at\u00a0EY, Deloitte, KPMG, Britannia and NielsenIQ,\u00a0with an\u00a0average CTC of \u20b98.90 LPA<\/strong>, while the\u00a0School of Law<\/strong>\u00a0has registered\u00a018 placements<\/strong>\u00a0at an\u00a0average of \u20b98.44 LPA<\/strong>\u00a0across leading firms and corporate legal teams. The\u00a0School of Advanced Engineering<\/strong>\u00a0has begun with\u00a025 placements<\/strong>\u00a0spanning core engineering, EPC and energy employers, with an\u00a0average CTC of \u20b98.19 LPA<\/strong>.Early offers also flowed in for the School of Design, the School of Health Sciences & Technology, and the School of Liberal Studies & Media.<\/p>\n

In terms of the sectors, so far\u00a0placements are concentrated in\u00a0IT & ITeS (about 75%)<\/strong>, spanning software engineering, data, cloud, cybersecurity and platform roles;\u00a0Research & Consulting (about 9%)<\/strong>\u00a0across strategy, risk, digital transformation and analytics; and\u00a0Energy\/Power\/Utilities & EPC (about 7%)<\/strong>, with core engineering, project and operations roles, while\u00a0Legal (about 3%)<\/strong>\u00a0and steady hiring across\u00a0Healthcare\/Pharma<\/strong>,\u00a0FMCG\/Consumer<\/strong>,\u00a0Oil & Gas<\/strong>,\u00a0Industrial Automation<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Manufacturing<\/strong>\u00a0round out the current mix.<\/p>\n
