That exact experience drove him to build a platform that now helps over a lakh parents in Delhi NCR figure out what to do with their kids on weekends.

The Weekend Struggle

When Suraj and his wife moved to Gurugram in 2021 with their then five-year-old daughter, they faced the classic newcomer problem: no local network, no school parent groupyet, no neighbours to ask for recommendations.

“Our daughter would want to go somewhere fun, and we had no idea what was actually open, what was good, what was age-appropriate. We’d spend an hour researching together, find something that looked promising, drive there, and it would be unavailable or closed for an exclusive birthday party. Or worse, it had permanently shut down and no one had updated Google.”

Sound familiar? You’re not alone. The kids’ entertainment industry in Delhi NCR is booming. Trampoline parks have literally doubled in the past year, arcades have grown similarly, and play areas are up 50%. But reliable information about these places remains frustratingly scattered.

Think about where the restaurant industry was in the early 2000s. Before Zomato and Swiggy, you had to call a restaurant to check if they were open, ask about timings, inquire about table availability, and hope someone could read out the menu. It sounds absurd now, but that’s exactly where kids’ entertainment is today. No single platform tells you which play area is open, what the pricing is, whether it’s suitable for your child’s age, or if it’s booked out for a private party.

One Platform for Everything

ActivityKidz, the platform Suraj launched in September 2024, attempts to solve this by aggregating everything in one place: trampoline parks, indoor kids play areas, arcades, bowling alleys, escape rooms, go-karting and more. Each venue is verified, with updated information on timings, pricing, and what ages they’re suitable for.

The platform covers Gurugram, Delhi, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, with 50,000 parents using it every month. And unlike the usual startup story of burning money on ads, Suraj says 70-80% of users arrive organically. “They find us through Google, social media, word of mouth and now even ChatGPT and Perplexity are recommending us,” he adds.

“Parents tell us they can’t believe it exists,” he laughs. “Like, why hasn’t someone done this before? That reaction is the best feedback we could ask for.”

What Parents Actually Get

Beyond just discovery, the platform offers deals. If you’ve priced a trampoline park birthday party lately, you know these can add up quickly. The idea is simple: venues want footfall, parents want value, and a platform in the middle can create wins on both sides.

The platform also tracks what’s new. That expansion of Skyjumper from two to four outlets in Gurugram? The arrival of The Pink Falcon from Jaipur? New spots like Boombastic and Rumble Zone? It’s all there. So is the unfortunate news when places close, because yes, about 10% of venues shut down every year. Better to know before you’ve loaded the kids into the car.

Coming to More Cities

ActivityKidz expanded from Gurugram to Delhi NCR in September 2025, with plans to enter multiple new cities in 2026. If you’re a parent in Bangalore or Mumbai or Kolkata wondering why no one has built this for your city yet, help is on the way.

In the meantime, Delhi NCR parents can find the platform at activitykidz.com.
